The Word on Wood

This week, we were delighted to take delivery of some bespoke carved items which help to celebrate the Christian profile of the school. Mr Brady shared the items with pupils in collective worship on Tuesday. Two blocks bear our school strapline ‘Learning to Love Together’ / ‘Loving to Learn Together’ and our values tree displays each of our 6 school values - kindness, resilience, forgiveness, inclusion, aspiration and respect. Finally our scroll cross offers the opportunity for children to write their own prayers on scrolls and insert them into the spaces on the cross. These can then be shared with our school community in acts of collective worship. We hope that our new display serves as a place that children can use for reflection and contemplation.
