World Book Day 26
World Book Day celebrations were a tremendous success this week with pupils loving the opportunity to share some of their favourite books and arrive to school dressed as a book character. We loved seeing pupils’ creativity in their costumes - astronauts, magicians, unicorns, pirates along with favourites such as Matilda and Harry Potter, were on show for the special celebration.
Staff were also keen not to miss out - well done to all who correctly identified ‘fairytales’ as our staff theme this year!
Our PTA were also in on the act selling a number of ‘Mr Brady’ bars inspired by Roald Dahl’s Wonka bars!
This year, our weekly Big Question was also inspired by reading, with children learning all about the story of Ezra in collective worship and how his reading abilities helped to spread God’s message of love and forgiveness.
