Police visits

Pupils from all classes enjoyed visits from the police this week. On Wednesday, officers spent some time with children from KS2, discussing stranger danger and taking the opportunity to remind pupils of how to keep themselves and their friends safe when playing in the community. 

On Thursday, it was the turn of our KS1 pupils to engage in a workshop activity, learning all about the role of the police - the highlight of which was unquestionably the opportunity to have a guided tour of the the police van - locals may have heard the odd siren blaring around the village as pupils got to grips with some of the controls in the vehicle!

As always, we value the opportunity to develop pupils’ citizenship and to learn all about those who play an important part in our communities. We thank our PCSOs or giving their time to support pupils this week.
