School Council

The School Council is a body of representatives who meet to discuss ways in which the School can be improved. Councillors collect ideas from their classmates, which are then presented and discussed in meetings with Mr Brady.

This year, our nominated councillors are:

Charity endeavours:

Each year, the School Council suggests and approves fundraising events for charitable causes. Over the course of this academic year, the Council has supported the following causes:

  • Silklife Foodbank Macclesfield: As part of Harvest celebrations, the School Council organised a collection of non-perishable goods which Mr Brady transported to the Silklife Foodbank, supporting those most vulnerable in our community and ensuring that families have enough food to eat.
  • A non-uniform day, as minuted in the SC meeting 19.10.22, was organised and raised a total of £101.00 for Children in Need. Many pupils arrived to School sporting yellow / spotty clothing and accessories. Mr Brady led a prayer in assembly to think of all those in our communities and beyond who require additional support, encouragement and help and to give thanks to the thousands of charities and volunteers who give so willingly of their time, energy, expertise and money to make others' lives better.
  • Councillors have again agreed that our annual Great Chelford Bake Off should support the Tuberous Sclerosis Association. We are looking forward to updating families on the amount raised as we approach Christmas time.
  • Support for Comic Relief raised over £65.00 through a 'wear red' to school day on Friday 17th March 2023.
