Performance data and results

At the end of Year 6, pupils sit Standardised Assessment Tests (SATs) in reading, spelling grammar and punctuation and mathematics. Writing is not assessed through a test; pupils' work is collated over the course of the year and assessed against a criteria by staff. On occasion, judgements are validated by external moderators appointed by the local authority.

When comparing local and national data trends to School outcomes, it is worth considering the context of schools. At Chelford C of E Primary, our cohorts are significantly smaller than average. Consequently each pupil represents a higher proportion in terms of percentage.
